christmas needs to back off! i am not ready. surely it should still be like december 1st or something. i don't really have the money for christmas shopping or any idea what to get any one. I don't have the tree up or any thing. also, nana needs help with all her shopping and cards and stuff. oh well, i'm sure it will all get done.

Last week we went to see Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, which was freaking awesome. He came and met everyone in the crowd afterwards and is officially the coolest man alive.
Then I had a day off work, which was nice.

At the weekend we went to Naia's jazz club birthday, which was really fun. The music wasn't as cool as I'd hoped (bit of a pub-type covers band really) but they had a cool saxophone player. Was really nice to catch up with everyone. And drink lots.

Sunday was Fake Xmas. It was lovely, and the food went really well; Vikki did most of it, but I managed to make a mushroom pie which was pretty yummy. Played silly games and watched some nostalgia-inducing festive films.

Work has been pissing me off a lot lately. I'm hoping it's just regular frustration of doing the same thing five days a week for a year. But I do sometimes wonder if I'm cut out for supervising a service; now that we're so much busier, I feel like my head needs to be in about ten places at once, and I'm not very good at that. Anyway, my boss is still super supportive of everything, and I managed to put in place some fun Christmassy plans for next week.

But in even better news... I have four whole days off work and we're off for a festive holiday in Brussels ^_^

The first half of the week was pretty productive the second half involved a lot more napping. oh well, can't win them all, right? i had any art opening in london this week. i was feeling really shit about my art and all and had almost forgot about the opening when sarah sent me a really sweet email about how she went and saw my art. so now i know it's really there and all :). tutte, the curator, said she would send photos at some point. i hope she gets to it.

i have almost finished a cute santacon outfit. it's been fun to make. stephen implied the other day that i have coping with lack of art by upping my sewing. it might be true. i did a little ink drawing the other day just because i could. it didn't feel too bad. i do really really wish i had a studio set up.

there was talk of snow today but from what i saw it didn't even freeze. what a disappointment. oh well, guess it's too soon for snow any way.

oh, did i mention that allison is coming back for a second visit in febuary? guess she doesn't hate us after all :P
